 TOURMALINE:
   Derived from the Singhalese “tura mali”, meaning “stone of mixed colors”, tourmaline is a mineral / gemstone which is found in many bright colors. In ancient times, magical powers were attributed to this stone, and it was considered to exert a powerful influence on love, friendship, health and stability.
  
   BioQure detox patches utilize the properties of tourmaline to produce what is known as the “far infra-red effect”, or FIR, which stimulates the removal of toxins. The magnetic energy waves produced by this mineral have been shown to increase circulation and metabolism on a molecular level in the body, allowing for expansion of the cell walls and the transfer of waste across these membranes into the surrounding blood and lymph.

WOOD AND BAMBOO VINEGAR EXTRACT
   These vinegars are used on a daily basis in Japan for cooking, and also for beneficial health in view of their healing properties. The vinegars, which are produced by the means of a pure steam distillation process, are also used in cosmetics and soaps, as the vinegar actually smoothes, moisturizes and softens the skin.  The wood vinegar in the footpads produces a:”negative ion effect”, allowing for the osmotic transfer of toxins across the cell membranes.  This effect promotes excretion of waste through the pores of the skin, and its removal at an accelerated rate.

DOKUDAMI:  HOUTTUYNIA CORDATA
   This plant, found at high levels in Japan, Java and Nepal, contains flavoids, glycosides, and alkaloids, which assist with the absorption of waste into the patches.

LOQUAT LEAF EXTRACT:
   This extract promotes the secretion of bodily fluids, and has anti-emetic properties. It has been used in Buddhist medicine and in moxibustion therapy for thousands of years. It is called the “king of herbal medicine” in India. Its contents are: malic acid, tartaric acid, citric acid, tannate, carotene, vitamins A, B and C.

CHITOSAN:
   This substance is extracted from shellfish and has been used in many industries to trap and absorb toxins such as grease, heavy metals, and oils. It is an extremely versatile fiber, used in wound healing, and has been studied for its fat absorptive abilities. When taken internally, it lowers LDL cholesterol; while enhancing HDL cholesterol. Chitosan is sold in health food stores as a weight loss supplement, because of its ability to bind fats, which are then excreted from the body.

DEXTRIN:
   This is a starch with adhesive properties. In the pads, it absorbs waste, and also helps to bind and stabilize the various ingredients in the pads.

VEGETABLE FIBRE: / VITAMIN C :
This fiber assists with absorption. Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant, and prevents spoilage.
